en.Wedoany.com Reported - Eurowind Energy has secured three projects with a total installed capacity of 70 megawatts in the latest round of Germany's onshore wind auction. These projects will utilize 10 turbines, each with a capacity of 7 MW, and are now under construction.

The Danish developer stated that the auction results mark its transition from a development pipeline of approximately 5 GW in Germany to the delivery phase. Eurowind currently has 15 projects under construction in Germany, with a total installed capacity of 284 MW. Its German headquarters is in Hamburg, with six offices across the country and around 120 employees.

The company noted that Germany's onshore wind market is facing increasing pressure. Recent auction prices have dropped to around 5 euro cents per kilowatt-hour, combined with high land lease costs and rising construction expenses, leading to a growing number of approved projects failing to reach completion. Eurowind's capital partnership with Blackstone has provided financial support for its project acquisitions and construction.

David Christopher Stahl, Managing Director of Eurowind Energy GmbH, said the auction results validate the company's project portfolio and demonstrate its readiness to support Germany's energy transition. He added that the company is recruiting for project development and EPC/construction roles and aims to acquire stalled projects for refurbishment and upgrades.

Founded in 2006 in Hobro, Denmark, Eurowind Energy now employs over 700 people and operates across 15 European countries, covering wind power, solar energy, hydrogen, biogas, power-to-heat, and battery storage. Germany remains one of Europe's largest renewable energy markets and a key battleground for developers from the Baltic region.
