en.Wedoany.com Reported - Hexa Climate has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with CESC Ltd to supply 100 MW of electricity to CESC on a long-term basis through a wind-solar hybrid project connected to the interstate transmission system. This capacity was secured by Hexa Climate through CESC's competitive bidding process for 600 MW of wind-solar hybrid capacity.

To fulfill the power supply contract, Hexa Climate will develop a hybrid project in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, on a Build-Own-Operate basis, comprising 50 MW of solar capacity and 100 MW of wind capacity. The company will supply power at a tariff of INR 3.75/kWh under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement.
The project will be connected to the interstate transmission system, enabling the generated power to be delivered to CESC's service area in Kolkata and other distribution networks. Hexa Climate, which focuses on the development and operation of renewable energy projects, has further expanded its wind-solar hybrid energy portfolio with this award. Madhya Pradesh is one of the regions in India with relatively abundant wind and solar resources, and several renewable energy projects have been established in the state in recent years.
CESC has previously signed Power Purchase Agreements for multiple renewable energy projects through tenders. In June 2026, CESC signed a PPA with Adani Green Energy for a 250 MW solar project. In May 2026, CESC also signed a PPA with Serentica Renewables for a 200 MW wind power project. The 100 MW wind-solar hybrid project PPA signed with Hexa Climate further diversifies CESC's renewable energy power sources.
