en.Wedoany.com Reported - The project "Independent Research and Development and Industrialization of Large-Scale Deep-Sea Aquaculture Equipment," led by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, has won the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. China Classification Society (CCS) is one of the participating research units in this project.

As a participating research unit, CCS leveraged its technical expertise in the inspection and certification of marine engineering equipment to support the transformation and implementation of the project's outcomes. In terms of technical breakthroughs, CCS collaborated with the industry to conduct research on hydrodynamic analysis technology for fishing nets and positioning and mooring technology for aquaculture equipment. In terms of standards and specifications, CCS systematically reviewed and incorporated practical experience and cutting-edge achievements from domestic and international review and inspection of offshore fishery and aquaculture facilities, publishing relevant technical guidelines. In terms of plan review and inspection, CCS provided full-process technical services, from plan review to construction inspection, for multiple deep-sea aquaculture facilities such as "Jinghai."
This award recognizes CCS's technical investment in the field of deep-sea aquaculture equipment. CCS stated that it will continue to provide technical support for the high-quality development of China's deep-sea aquaculture equipment and the construction of the "Blue Granary."
