en.Wedoany.com Reported - Swedish mining equipment manufacturer Epiroc has released the new-generation Scooptram ST10 P underground loader, with a rated payload of 10 tonnes and a standard bucket capacity of 4.5 cubic meters. The machine is an upgraded development based on the existing ST1030 model, featuring a reinforced front-end working attachment, a new control system, and an optional EU Stage V emissions-compliant engine, making it suitable for loading and hauling operations in underground mines. Both the standard and low-profile versions have been available for order in global markets since October 1.

The new model makes the previously optional high-lift arrangement standard equipment and incorporates adjustments to the Z-bar linkage, lift cylinders, and bucket dumping structure, increasing hydraulic breakout force by 5%. The optimized front-end structure provides greater dump height, improving dumping performance when loading ore into underground mining trucks. The complete machine is suited to tunnels of approximately 3.5 m × 3.5 m, has an unladen weight of approximately 28.9 tonnes, and offers a standard bucket capacity of 4.5 cubic meters.

The powertrain offers two engine configurations. The Cummins L9 engine meeting Stage V emissions standards is rated at 213 kW, while the Cummins QSL9 engine meeting Stage III emissions standards is rated at 186 kW; both configurations have a rated speed of 2,000 rpm. The equipment also features redesigned hydraulic lines, internal rear-frame layout, and cooling system, with repositioned filters, valves, and other components to improve service access and maintenance conditions.

The operator control section adopts a new-generation programmable logic controller with upgraded input/output interfaces, self-diagnostics, and fault protection functions, and supports line-of-sight remote control operation of the equipment by the operator. The complete machine design complies with the ISO 19296 safety standard for mobile machines in underground mines and relevant CE requirements, and the cab features falling-object and roll-over protective structures. For low-profile tunnels, Epiroc has simultaneously introduced the Scooptram ST10 P L low-profile version, which adopts the same major upgrade design.
