en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 20, the 220-tonne rigid mining truck and the 90-tonne all-electric wide-body mining truck, jointly developed by China CITIC Heavy Industries Machinery Co., Ltd. and CITIC Equipment, officially rolled off the production line in Luoyang, Henan Province. The two pieces of equipment are respectively targeted at heavy-haul transportation and electrified transportation scenarios in large open-pit mines. On the same day, the intelligent load-haul robot operation system independently developed by CITIC Heavy Industries was also unveiled, and the company signed agreements on key projects and strategic cooperation with 11 entities.

The 220-tonne rigid mining truck is designed for the development of large open-pit mines with an annual capacity of tens of millions of tonnes. It stands about 7.4 meters tall, has a rated payload of 220 tonnes, and a design service life of 15 to 20 years. The vehicle is equipped with an 1,864 kW power system, adopts AC-DC-AC electric drive technology, features a rigid body structure and a multi-level safety protection system, and can handle continuous heavy-haul transportation operations in large open-pit mines.

The other model, the 90-tonne all-electric wide-body truck, stands about 4.6 meters tall, has a rated payload of 90 tonnes, and a design service life of 3 to 5 years. It is equipped with an operating system and controllers independently developed by CITIC Heavy Industries. The R&D team completed vehicle parameter calibration and control system optimization for operating conditions such as heavy-load jolting and alternating high and low temperatures in mining areas. The vehicle reserves standardized autonomous driving interfaces and supports subsequent integration into mine unmanned transportation systems.

The intelligent load-haul robot operation system unveiled at the same time is designed for underground mine loading and transportation operations. It adopts self-developed operating systems, controllers and a drive-by-wire chassis, integrates visual detection and electronic access control systems, and has functions including autonomous transportation in underground tunnels and ground-based remote-controlled loading and unloading. The system covers underground transportation, loading and remote operation links, and corresponds to different mining operation scenarios together with the two open-pit mine transportation equipment rolled off the line this time.

CITIC Heavy Industries also completed signings on key projects and strategic cooperation with 11 entities on this occasion. The company will continue to advance the R&D and application of unmanned electric mining trucks, load-haul robots, and supporting systems for wind power, photovoltaics, energy storage, and battery charging and swapping, expanding its mining extraction, loading and transportation equipment business.
