en.Wedoany.com Reported - Recently, the world's largest hot zone hot isostatic pressing (HIP) equipment, independently developed by Sichuan Aviation Industry Chuanxi Machinery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Chuanxi Machinery"), successfully passed the pressure test monitoring conducted by the Sichuan Institute of Special Equipment Inspection and Research in Anshun, Guizhou, completing a phase of work. The equipment has a hot zone diameter of 2400 mm and a hot zone height of 3500 mm. The test pressure reached 205 MPa. The data throughout the entire process of pressure rise, pressure holding, and pressure relief were complete and the indicators were controlled, and the pressure test achieved complete success.

Hot isostatic pressing equipment is key process equipment for powder metallurgy forming and performance enhancement of new materials. It is widely used in fields such as nuclear materials, aerospace materials, cemented carbides, superalloys, semiconductor sputtering targets, and ceramic materials. It plays an important role in the densification treatment of large titanium alloy and superalloy castings, powder metallurgy near-net shaping, post-processing of additive manufacturing components, hot isostatic pressing of cemented carbides, powder consolidation of ceramic materials, and hot isostatic pressing sintering of high-purity metal target powders. It is important equipment supporting the upgrading of China's high-end manufacturing industry.

There was no mature engineering experience at home or abroad to draw on for this test. The project team adhered to full-process independent controllability and completed the scheme demonstration, structural design, processing and manufacturing, and on-site installation and commissioning of the dedicated high-pressure test platform, overcoming a series of key technical challenges such as ultra-high-pressure stable loading, large-volume medium pressurization, high-pressure sealing and safety protection, and automatic control of the pressure rise and relief process.

The complete success of this pressure test laid a solid foundation for subsequent commissioning and delivery and engineering application.
