Powertrac Wins 50 MW Distributed Renewable Energy Project in Gujarat, India

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Powertrac Group has undertaken a 50 MW distributed renewable energy project for Purshotam Profiles Pvt. Ltd., participating as an Independent Power Producer (IPP) developer under the Distributed Renewable Energy Bilateral Procurement (DREBP) scheme of Gujarat Power Corporation Limited (PGVCL). The project is being executed under a project development model.

Under the scope of work, Powertrac Group is responsible for grid connection applications, approvals, and capacity reservation, as well as the preparation and signing of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). Land identification, procurement, due diligence, and overall project development are also within its scope. The winning bidder must also complete the survey, design, right-of-way acquisition for transmission lines, as well as engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work. Additionally, statutory approvals must be obtained, and coordination with CEIG, GEDA, GETCO, SLDC, PGVCL, PWD, forest departments, and other government agencies is required. Powertrac Group will provide a complete renewable energy solution from concept to commissioning, including testing and commissioning of the solar power plant, along with full project management, regulatory compliance, and commercial operations.

Previously, Sunora Solar secured a 125 MW solar project order under the DREBP scheme in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat, with a contract value of INR 170 million. Earlier, Sun Drops Energia Private Limited, a subsidiary of KPI Green Energy, won a 62.20 MW solar power project development order, which increased the total installed capacity of KPI Green Energy's Captive Power Plant (CPP) business segment to 152.34 MW. These orders all originate from the DREBP policy, which is part of the Gujarat Renewable Energy Policy 2023 and the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) tariff orders No. 5 and 6 of 2024.
