en.Wedoany.com Reported - Secure-T, with support from Solar Group, has launched the development of the SEG-T email gateway, a secure email gateway product that filters inbound and outbound email traffic using multi-agent AI. Khariton Nikishkin, co-founder of Secure-T, is involved in the project.

The project was initiated against the backdrop of a sustained increase in phishing attacks. Today, such attacks are increasingly assembled from ready-made tools, including components such as control panels, sending infrastructure, anti-bot mechanisms, and one-time verification code interception modules. Attackers also leverage AI to accelerate the preparation of convincing emails and scale up deception efforts.

SEG-T analyzes emails not only based on technical characteristics but also evaluates the meaning of their content. The AI will assess the tone of the email, whether it contains signs of manipulation, and whether there is an intent to exploit trust, fear, or urgency to prompt the recipient into taking action. The system can also intercept emails containing attachments such as links, archives, PDFs, executables, SVGs, and other files that may contain malicious content.

The developers have omitted a separate built-in "sandbox" in SEG-T, as a significant portion of modern attacks are not based on malicious code but rely on social engineering techniques, including spoofed senders, psychological pressure, and tricking users into performing actions themselves. For critical attachments, the possibility of connecting to an external "sandbox" is planned to be retained.

The solution is intended to work in conjunction with other Solar products, including Solar webProxy for traffic inspection and Solar Dozor for monitoring the transmission of personal data such as Taxpayer Identification Number (INN), Social Insurance Number (SNILS), passport data, and bank card numbers.

SEG-T will support cloud deployment, on-premises network deployment, and operation in Kubernetes environments. According to the developers, the product typically takes about 15 minutes from deployment to operational status. Solar Group holds a 49% stake in this project, having previously increased its shareholding in Secure-T to a controlling interest. The new project continues the direction of combating phishing, spam, malicious mass mailings, and attacks targeting corporate email.
