en.Wedoany.com Reported - Druid Software has announced the acquisition of Node-H's team and intellectual property assets. Node-H is a Munich-based company specializing in radio access network software and user equipment technology.
The transaction, announced on July 7, 2026, brings experienced software engineers to the Irish company focused on private cellular networks, and adds RAN-related software expertise and intellectual property to Druid's private network portfolio.
This move significantly expands Druid's engineering capabilities at a time when demand for 4G and 5G private networks is strong in enterprise, industrial, public safety, and mission-critical environments.
The deal provides Druid with additional technical depth in RAN-related software, enabling tighter integration with existing RAN partners while maintaining the company's focus on core network software and private network solutions. The acquired intellectual property will support Druid's ongoing development of its unified management platform, helping customers and partners simplify the deployment, operation, and lifecycle management of private networks in multi-vendor environments.
Acquiring Node-H brings experienced cellular software engineers to Druid, enhancing the company's ability to meet current customer demands and support future product development. The team's addition will support Druid's current and near-term customer and partner commitments, while strengthening the company's capacity to develop, integrate, and support more advanced private network deployments.
Mike Cronin, CEO of Node-H, said: "Node-H has accumulated deep expertise in specialized cellular software, and we are delighted that our team and technology are now part of Druid. Druid has a strong position in the private network space, and we look forward to contributing to its next phase of growth."
Some of Node-H's intellectual property assets may be made available to other O-RAN and RAN ecosystem companies, creating opportunities for licensing and collaboration in the private network market.
Druid Software, headquartered in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland, provides specialized core network software and has deployed thousands of networks globally. Its cellular technology platform, Raemis, is a 3GPP-compliant 4G/5G core network designed for enterprise critical communications. In 2021, Juniper Research rated Druid as a mature leader in the private network space. Earlier, in November 2025, Druid announced a strategic partnership with Heddian, an integrated communications solutions provider focused on serving power utilities, to expand into that vertical market and deliver 4G and 5G connectivity solutions tailored to their needs.
This latest announcement follows several similar announcements in the private network provider space. In February 2026, Firecell and Accelleran announced a merger to create a complete private 5G solution. The previous month, Boldyn Networks said it had agreed to acquire German provider Smart Mobile Labs (SML), which specializes in customized private 5G networks and turnkey applications. Earlier, HPE completed its acquisition of private network core software company Athonet in June 2023.
