en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Computer Society of Zimbabwe (CSZ), in collaboration with the Institute of Information Technology Professionals South Africa (IITPSA) and other Southern African ICT professional bodies, will host the NEXTCON 2026 Executive Conference from July 15 to 17, 2026, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Sandton, Johannesburg. The conference aims to bring together technology leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to strengthen regional partnerships and explore the technologies, strategies, and policies shaping the region's digital future.

NEXTCON 2026, structured as a high-level executive forum, will focus on topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud transformation, digital public infrastructure, and the future of the technology workforce. Through keynote speeches, executive panel discussions, live technology demonstrations, and interactive dialogues, the conference aims to drive practical implementation and regional collaboration. Speakers from AWS, Cloudflare, Sophos, Vodacom, PeopleCert, AlgoSec, Maxtec (QBS), Axis Solutions, Engagement Dynamics, ZimSwitch, Econet Wireless, and other regional technology partners will participate.

A highlight of the conference will be the Public Sector Digital Transformation Roundtable, inviting government representatives, technology providers, and ICT professional bodies to explore practical pathways for digital transformation. The participation of regional ICT associations—including IITPSA, CSZ, ICTAZ (Zambia), ICTAM (Malawi), and BITS (Botswana)—will further strengthen knowledge sharing, professional collaboration, and regional partnerships.

Kelvin Nhlapo, General Manager of IITPSA, stated that digital transformation can no longer be achieved by individual countries alone, and that regional challenges and opportunities require enhanced collaboration among governments, industries, and professional bodies. NEXTCON aims to bring together the stakeholders driving change, fostering meaningful dialogue, shared learning, and partnerships to strengthen Southern Africa's digital future. The conference is designed for Chief Information Officers, Chief Technology Officers, Chief Information Security Officers, digital transformation leaders, enterprise architects, ICT executives, consultants, and technology leaders, offering actionable insights and strategic networking opportunities.
