Positioned as a smart, agile, and premium compact car, its exterior design draws inspiration from classic vinyl records, featuring a distinctive two-tone body with a powder-and-ink color scheme. For the first time, high-level intelligent driving system configurations have been introduced to the entry-level pure electric sedan segment.
The Leapmotor A05s continues the family design language of the A Series, with a closed front grille paired with three-section LED daytime running lights. The side profile creates a floating roof effect through blacked-out B/C pillars, while semi-hidden door handles help reduce wind resistance. The official highlight is the vinyl record texture design on the hood and grille, combined with the powder-and-ink two-tone body, reinforcing its youthful positioning.
The Leapmotor A05 has already appeared in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's catalog of vehicles eligible for purchase tax exemptions for new energy vehicles. According to registration information, the vehicle measures 4200/1800/1560mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2605mm, and features a five-door, five-seat layout. In terms of powertrain, it offers two front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motors with outputs of 70kW and 90kW, paired with 39.8kWh or 53kWh lithium iron phosphate battery packs, corresponding to CLTC range ratings of 405km and 510km, respectively.
Intelligence is a key selling point of this model.
