As ore body characteristics become increasingly complex, variations in wear, maintenance requirements, and equipment condition make operating cycles harder to plan, increasing uncertainty in production, maintenance, and total cost of ownership. Weir developed this pump based on decades of slurry pump expertise and operational insights from the world's largest installed base of grinding circuit pumps, meeting higher throughput requirements while retaining the installation dimensions of existing WARMAN® grinding circuit pumps—eliminating the need for major infrastructure modifications.

The pump has undergone field trials in high-wear grinding circuit applications across three continents, with its performance under demanding conditions validated and its role in extending operating cycles and improving operational predictability further confirmed.
