Thai Airways to Add Three Weekly Munich-Bangkok Flights from December 2026
en.Wedoany.com Reported - Thai Airways will increase flight frequencies between Munich and Bangkok starting December 16, 2026. The new flights are scheduled to operate every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.
Munich Airport stated that the additional flights will bring the total number of weekly non-stop flights between Munich and Bangkok to 10. The new flights will complement the existing daily service, which continues to be operated by the Airbus A350-900.
Jost Lammers, CEO of Munich Airport, said the new flights provide passengers with greater capacity and flexibility, while strengthening the important connection between Bavaria and Thailand, as well as numerous destinations in Asia and Australia via the Bangkok hub.
Thai Airways attributed the capacity increase to "high demand for air travel between Germany, Thailand, and the broader Asia-Pacific region." The airline has recently been carefully managing its fleet capacity, noting fleet constraints in 2025 and delaying plans for new European routes.
