en.Wedoany.com Reported - Aya Gold & Silver (TSX:AYA) achieved a record quarterly production at its Zgounder mine in Morocco, producing approximately 1.68 million silver equivalent ounces in the second quarter.

This output represents the company's highest quarterly level to date, a 61% increase compared to the same period last year. Silver production reached 1.49 million ounces, up 43% year-over-year.

Aya stated that the commencement of Boumadine pyrite recovery operations was a key factor in this achievement, contributing approximately 190,000 silver equivalent ounces.

During the quarter, the combined open-pit and underground mining at the Zgounder mine reached a record daily mining rate of 4,880 tonnes. The processing plant also achieved a daily throughput of 3,889 tonnes, while the silver recovery rate remained stable at 91.2%.

CEO Benoit La Salle noted that the processing rate has reached expected levels, reflecting the successful implementation of optimization initiatives, and that strong operational performance gives the company confidence in achieving its 2026 production targets.

For 2026, Aya expects silver production to range between 6.2 million and 6.8 million ounces. Year-to-date, total combined silver equivalent production stands at 3.17 million ounces, approximately 50% higher than the same period in 2025.
