The collaboration encompasses the application of edge artificial intelligence (Edge AI) in industrial environments, as well as computer vision and advanced monitoring and inspection systems for production line quality control.

The edge AI market has made progress, as this technology allows for direct processing of AI data locally on devices without relying on cloud servers, thereby achieving faster speeds, greater privacy, and independence from internet connectivity.

Sidnei Silva, head of Bosch Digital Factory, stated that this partnership brings together two strong companies, offering the market a combination of reliability and agility, with the aim of providing complementary software and hardware solutions, expanding strategic capabilities, and accelerating the development of new applications. Bosch Digital Factory is the digital solutions development division of Grupo Bosch.

In addition to industrial processes and technology solutions, the collaboration extends to Bosch's educational programs. The Digital Talent Academy (DTA), a digital course offered by the Bosch Technical Academy, will add an Arduino Innovation Lab, which includes a dedicated module on edge computing.
