He also held an international business coordination meeting with Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. (NWEPDI), Gezhouba Third Engineering Co., Ltd., Northwest Electric Power Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., and Northwest Urban Construction Engineering Co., Ltd.
On the morning of July 11, Qiao Xubin and his team visited the NWEPDI Digital Intelligence Exhibition Hall and held a discussion with Liu Zengqiang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of NWEPDI. Qiao Xubin acknowledged NWEPDI's development foundation and comprehensive capabilities. He stated that the International Group will focus on the high-quality development theme of the "15th Five-Year Plan," play a leading and coordinating role, optimize overseas market layout, leverage planning leadership and overseas investment empowerment, and rely on NWEPDI's technical advantages and performance capabilities to strengthen top-level planning and high-end consulting for key country markets to "go global," thereby seizing global energy transition opportunities and driving international business growth.

Qiao Xubin expressed gratitude to the member enterprises for their support of the International Group's development. He stated that the International Group will act as a "safety shield" and "accelerator," providing support for member enterprises to "go global" with high quality, promoting complementary advantages and coordinated overseas expansion. During the research, Qiao Xubin and his team visited the Jiuquan 300 MW compressed air energy storage demonstration project, the Yumen 100 MW linear Fresnel CSP plant, and the Three Gorges Hengji Nengmai Guazhou 100 MW tower CSP project. These projects are respectively the world's first 300 MW-class artificial cavern compressed air energy storage project, the world's largest molten salt linear Fresnel CSP plant under construction, and the world's first "dual-tower, single-turbine" CSP energy storage power generation project. Qiao Xubin exchanged views with NWEPDI officials on the technical principles, economic costs, and application scenarios of CSP and compressed air energy storage. He stated that China Energy Engineering Group has comprehensively researched and mastered core key technologies for new power systems. Through industry-university-research collaboration, it will actively plan to build demonstration projects in a number of countries and promote its system solutions for building a new energy system and new power system in the global market.
