en.Wedoany.com Reported - The biennial Spanish automation and robotics trade fair weAR will hold its second edition from February 23 to 25, 2027, at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre, aiming to consolidate its position as a benchmark event in the field of automation and robotics. As industry evolves at an unprecedented pace, with automation and robotics increasingly becoming strategic elements, the February timing will align suppliers with the critical decision-making period for industrial investments and project planning by user companies.

weAR adopts an exhibition model that combines large exhibition areas with workshops, lectures, and live demonstrations, creating a dynamic space for participants to understand practical applications and learn from successful cases, bringing the latest automation and robotics solutions closer to specific industrial needs. The exhibition covers manufacturers and distributors across multiple fields, including drive systems and components, sensor technology, control technology, industrial PCs, industrial software, human-machine interfaces, power grids and factory power supply, interface technology and equipment, low-voltage switchgear, mechanical infrastructure, industrial communication, assembly and handling technology, positioning systems, safety and protection technology, industrial wearables, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), robotics, and machine vision.

The event is held within the framework of +Industry, Spain's largest smart manufacturing platform, which concurrently integrates seven complementary industrial exhibitions—AdditED, BeDIGITAL, Maintenance, Pumps & Valves, Subcontratación, and weAR—alongside the WORKinn Talent Hub employment forum. This collaborative exhibition model will promote connectivity across the entire value chain of advanced manufacturing.

Held under the +Industry framework, weAR attracts decision-making professionals from key industries such as automotive, defense, food and beverage, aerospace, energy, equipment manufacturing, steel, chemical and petrochemical, and railways. Internationalization is a prominent feature of the exhibition, reflected in the composition of both exhibitors and visitors. The inaugural edition in 2025 attracted 12,120 professionals from 47 countries, with the most representative international markets including France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Morocco, China, Taiwan, and South Korea.

weAR is jointly organized by the Spanish Association for Smart Manufacturing Technology (STECH) and the Bilbao Exhibition Centre, with the Biscay Provincial Council and the Department of Industry, Energy Transition, and Sustainability of the Basque Government serving as institutional partners.
