Andritz of Austria Wins Order for PTFE Filtration Material Production Line in China

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 14, the Austrian industrial technology group Andritz announced that it had won an order from Shandong Huazhe Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. for a complete high-speed needle-punched nonwoven production line. The equipment will be installed at a production base in Jinan, Shandong Province, for the manufacture of high-performance polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) filtration materials. The order has been included in Andritz's new orders for the third quarter of 2026 and is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2027. The production line will commercially adopt the company's newly developed A-type needle punching machine for the first time.

This order involves a complete high-speed needle-punched nonwoven production system. The production line is configured to meet the processing requirements of PTFE fibers, with a focus on gentle fiber handling under high-speed operating conditions and continuous production stability. The equipment will be used to produce high-performance filtration media, meeting the requirements of industrial dust filtration and solid-liquid separation applications for consistent filtration material quality. Andritz lists this project as its first production line specifically dedicated to PTFE filtration materials.

The A-type needle punching machine adopted by the new production line is a newly developed equipment model from Andritz, and this marks the first commercial application of this model. The equipment supports Random Needle Pattern technology, which improves web uniformity and filtration performance through irregular needle arrangement. This model also balances production cost, process flexibility, and product quality, and the needle punching configuration can be adjusted according to the processing requirements of different filtration materials.

The equipment cooperation between the two parties began in 2023, when Shandong Huazhe ordered a web forming equipment set from Andritz, which was delivered in 2024. The newly added high-speed needle-punched production line will be used to expand the company's production capacity for PTFE high-performance filtration media. Shandong Huazhe's existing products cover filtration nonwovens, industrial dust removal filter bags, filter bag support cages, and dust removal system accessories, with business involving industrial dust treatment and solid-liquid separation.
