Brazilian Beef Cattle Auction Revenue Reaches R$521.7 Million in June, Up 37.6% Year-on-Year

en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Brazilian premium beef cattle auction market was active in June 2026, with total revenue reaching R$521.7 million, a 37.6% increase compared to R$379.1 million in the same period of 2025.

According to information collected by the DBO Database (Banco de Dados da DBO) from major auction companies nationwide, 133 auctions were held in June. As of July 3, the total supply of superior genetics reached 13,664 lots, including males, females, pregnant cows, and embryos, an increase of nearly 20% compared to June 2025. The average price rose 16% year-on-year, from R$32,934 in June 2025 to R$38,183.

Female cattle transactions led auction revenue, with 8,541 head traded involving cows, donor cows, heifers, and female calves, a 53.3% increase in sales volume compared to June 2025. The average price for this category rose from R$33,617 to R$41,744, an increase of 13.6%, with total transaction value reaching R$356.5 million. For breeding males, revenue in June 2026 was R$106.7 million, down 5% from R$111.9 million in the same period of 2025; a total of 4,672 lots were traded, with an average price of R$22,855 per head.

Nellore cattle set a breed record. During the "Leilão HRO Experience – Grand Prix" auction held from June 18 to 20 at the Expoinel Avaré official event, a 75% interest in the breeding male Indhu FIV HRO (Viatina 19 x Astuto FIV Brun) was sold for R$7.4 million, with buyers including Cabaña Santiago, Casa Branca Agropastoril, and Agropecuária Paranã. The value of this purebred Nellore bull, born in 2024, thus reached R$9.96 million. The auction, hosted by breeder Hélio Robles de Oliveira at the Tapijara farm in Arandu, São Paulo state, traded female calves, heifers, and donor cows, with total transaction value reaching R$107.9 million.

The largest supply of the month came from the liquidation auction of the Rincon del Sarandy ranch in Rio Grande do Sul state, founded by Claudia Indarte Silva in 1996 together with her children Ignacio and Martin. The ranch has 30 years of experience in the selection and genetic improvement of Angus, Brangus, and Ultrablack breeds. The auction was held from May 30 to June 12, with full liquidity, and under the hammer of auctioneer Fábio Crespo, a total of 2,387 head of livestock were traded, including bulls, cows, heifers, and recipient cows, as well as Crioula horses. During the "Rincon Show Auction" phase, the average price for Angus females was R$27,375, and for bulls R$22,114; for Brangus cows, the average was R$19,068, and for males R$18,300.
