en.Wedoany.com Reported - The 2026 China Aluminum Processing Forum, hosted by the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA), was held in Shanghai. With the theme of expanding domestic demand, promoting high-level aluminum product exports, and accelerating the cultivation of new quality productive forces in the aluminum processing industry, the forum was organized by CNIA, undertaken by Beijing Antaike Information Technology Co., Ltd., and co-organized by Chinalco High-End Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Reed Exhibitions.

Fan Shunke, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of CNIA and Chairman of the China Nonferrous Metals Fabrication Industry Association (CNFA); Zhang Rongwang, Deputy General Manager of Chinalco High-End Manufacturing Co., Ltd.; Lyu Zhengfeng, Chairman and General Manager of Shandong Nanshan Aluminum Co., Ltd.; Jonathan Grant, Secretary General of the International Aluminium Institute; Guido Aufdemkamp, Director General of the Global Aluminium Foil Producers Initiative; Chen Haifeng, Head of Novelis (China) Aluminum Products Co., Ltd. China Operations and Director of Asia Aerospace & Industrial Business Market Sales; and Zhang Lan, Senior Vice President of Reed Exhibitions Greater China, attended the opening ceremony. Fan Shunke, Zhang Rongwang, Lyu Zhengfeng, Zhang Lan, and Jonathan Grant delivered speeches. The opening ceremony was presided over by Li Defeng, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Aluminum Branch of CNIA.

In his speech, Fan Shunke stated that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China's aluminum processing industry, facing a complex and volatile global trade environment, maintained a stable and progressive operational trend with improving structure. Output grew steadily, export volumes increased with enhanced quality, consumption structure underwent iterative upgrades, green and low-carbon development accelerated, and international cooperation achieved significant results. Addressing challenges such as the accelerated restructuring of global industrial and supply chains, increased uncertainties, shrinking traditional domestic demand, high aluminum prices, and rising operational pressures for enterprises, Fan Shunke proposed five suggestions: adhere to independent innovation, focus on national strategic needs, and carry out collaborative innovation in "alloy + material + application" around emerging and future industries; adhere to green and intelligent empowerment, promote the large-scale application of recycled aluminum and green electricity aluminum, and advance industrial digitalization and intelligent transformation; adhere to open cooperation, proactively align with international trade rules, promote high-level exports of aluminum materials and products, and actively build overseas bases; adhere to expanding applications, deeply explore new demands for aluminum materials in new energy, communication information, artificial intelligence and other fields, and promote substituting copper, steel, plastic, and wood with aluminum; adhere to industry self-discipline, regulate market order, and steer industry competition towards technological innovation, quality upgrading, and brand building.

Zhang Rongwang introduced that Chinalco High-End, as the core aluminum processing business unit of Chinalco, will focus on driving innovation as the main line, operating national-level innovation platforms with high standards, and collaborating with universities and key upstream and downstream customers to build joint laboratories; promote digital and intelligent transformation, implement smart factory upgrades and the "Green Star Chain" digital platform; adhere to the green and low-carbon path, improve green and low-carbon mechanisms, and steadily increase the scale of recycled aluminum consumption; while practicing industry self-discipline and co-governance, and building a mutually beneficial and shared industrial ecosystem with industry peers.

Lyu Zhengfeng introduced that relying on the integrated full industry chain advantage of "upstream energy, electrolytic smelting, downstream high-end aluminum deep processing," Nanshan Aluminum deeply cultivates process equipment iteration, adding intelligent and digital production lines for automotive lightweight high-precision aluminum sheets/strips and Nanshan Figeac Aero aerospace structural parts; deeply engages in downstream customer supply chain management, building an industrial layout centered on high-end product series such as packaging materials, automotive lightweight materials, high-strength corrosion-resistant aerospace materials, and high-precision aerospace structural parts; steadily expands the global market, insisting on parallel development of high-end product exports and global layout.
In her speech, Zhang Lan stated that the rapid development of emerging industries such as new energy vehicles, photovoltaics, aerospace, and the low-altitude economy has driven increased production of high-value-added products like high-precision aluminum materials and power battery aluminum foil, becoming the core growth driver for the aluminum processing industry. Reed Exhibitions will continue to serve the real economy and help showcase the landscape of China's aluminum processing industry.

In his speech, Jonathan Grant stated that the global aluminum industry faces challenges such as conflicts in the Gulf region, climate change, carbon emission reduction, and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) driven by geopolitics. He pointed out that mines, refineries, and smelters can operate long-term, the industry focuses on long-term investments, and looks forward to cooperating with Chinese aluminum production enterprises to address these issues.

During the morning report session, Jin Haiming, Secretary General of CNFA; Liu Yue, Operations Director of Nanshan Aluminum Sheet & Strip Division; Guido Aufdemkamp, Director General of the Global Aluminium Foil Producers Initiative; and Anand Datey, Chief Operating Officer of Jupiter Aluminium (India) Ltd., delivered reports titled "Outlook for China's Aluminum Processing Industry in the '15th Five-Year Plan' Period," "Implementation Paths and Practices for High-End Aluminum Scrap Grade Retention Recycling," "New Trends in the European Aluminum Foil Market and Product Applications," and "Current Status and Prospect Analysis of High-Quality Aluminum Foil Stock Production in India," respectively. This session was presided over by Shen Lingyan, Manager of the Aluminum Division of Beijing Antaike Information Technology Co., Ltd.
