en.Wedoany.com Reported - July 13, 2026, Eni and BMW Group have reached an agreement to supply Enilive HVOlution fuel to BMW corporate fleets in Italy. This is a 100% pure hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) diesel produced by Enilive.

Enilive's two biorefineries in Venice and Gela primarily process waste and residues such as used cooking oil and animal fats to produce HVO. This fuel can be used as a direct replacement for diesel. According to the EU Renewable Energy Directive standards, compared to the reference fossil fuel mix (94 g CO2 equivalent/MJ), Enilive HVO produced in 2025 achieves an average 79.5% reduction in CO2 equivalent emissions across the entire supply chain.

BMW Group already operates demonstration and development diesel fleets powered by pure HVO in Italy, Germany, and Austria. Approximately 1,700 Enilive service stations in these countries supply HVOlution fuel. BMW is developing a technical solution to enable traceability of fuel used per vehicle by matching vehicle refueling data with fleet operators' payment systems.

In accordance with the EN 15940 standard, BMW has approved the use of HVO diesel fuel for diesel models equipped with B-generation diesel engines registered since the end of 2014. BMW Italy also offers Enilive HVOlution vouchers to customers purchasing new BMW diesel vehicles in Italy.
