(referred to as "Qingyuan Jiangxi Copper") recently passed a comprehensive completion acceptance organized by the group. After on-site inspection, document review, and comprehensive evaluation by the special acceptance expert team from the group's engineering department, it was unanimously determined that the project meets the completion acceptance standards. Following the project's completion and commissioning, Qingyuan Jiangxi Copper's annual cathode copper production capacity will exceed 200,000 tons, with supporting annual output of 1,200 tons of anode slime and over 2,000 tons of nickel sulfate, helping the enterprise's annual output value surpass 10 billion yuan, making Qingyuan Jiangxi Copper the first non-ferrous metal enterprise in Qingyuan City to achieve a 10-billion-yuan output value.

Qingyuan Jiangxi Copper is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiangxi Copper Co., Ltd., established in 2006 with a registered capital of 890 million yuan. It is the largest cathode copper producer in South China using recycled copper as raw material. The company is located in the Non-Ferrous Metal Processing and Manufacturing Base in Shijiao Town, Qingcheng District, Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province, situated in the largest recycled copper distribution center in China. The company's main product is "Jiangxi Copper" brand A-grade cathode copper, which has obtained dual registration brand certification from the Shanghai Futures Exchange and the London Metal Exchange (LME). In 2023, Qingyuan Jiangxi Copper's output value exceeded the 10-billion-yuan mark, becoming the first manufacturing enterprise in Qingcheng District to achieve a 10-billion-yuan output value.

The project received approval for initiation in January 2021. During construction, it faced multiple challenges including pandemic control measures, severe floods, and multi-disciplinary cross-construction. Notably, the major flood of the Beijiang River in 2022 caused a 25-day construction suspension. The project team coordinated all parties, overcame difficulties, and ultimately completed construction 23 days ahead of schedule, achieving a smooth one-time commissioning. The completion and operation of the project are conducive to fully leveraging the efficiency of the electrolytic workshop's equipment, enhancing the level of intelligent manufacturing, and deepening the construction of a green factory. Additionally, the project supports the expansion of Guangzhou Jiangxi Copper, implementing collaborative integrated development, which holds significant strategic importance for increasing Jiangxi Copper's market share of products in South China and consolidating its leading position in cathode copper production capacity.

With the completion acceptance of this project, Qingyuan Jiangxi Copper has formed a complete production system with an annual capacity of 200,000 tons of cathode copper. As the second-largest electrolytic copper producer under the Jiangxi Copper Group, Qingyuan Jiangxi Copper's core position in the copper industry chain in South China has been further consolidated. The successful implementation of this project also provides a practical case for reference in the efficient advancement of large-scale technical renovation projects in the domestic recycled copper industry.
