en.Wedoany.com Reported - Malaysian broadband operator Time dotCom and local cybersecurity services company LGMS have signed a strategic Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) to jointly strengthen Malaysia's cybersecurity ecosystem.

Time dotCom and LGMS aim to enhance Malaysia's cybersecurity ecosystem

Under the MoC, Time and LGMS plan to establish a comprehensive cybersecurity cooperation framework tailored to Malaysia's regulatory, operational, and threat environment, and to engage in joint innovation in areas such as AI-driven cybersecurity technologies, threat intelligence, security analytics, and advanced security operations.

Fong Choong Fook, Founder and Managing Director of LGMS, stated that the framework aims to help enterprises, public sector organizations, and regulated industries enhance cyber resilience, improve operational readiness, and support secure digital transformation.

In a statement, Fong Choong Fook said that cybersecurity today requires more than just individual technologies; organizations need a comprehensive engagement framework that integrates consulting, governance, continuous monitoring, incident response, and operational intelligence. By partnering with Time, both parties are combining complementary strengths to deliver cybersecurity capabilities specifically designed for Malaysia's regulatory and operational environment.

Time and LGMS stated that the collaboration will also focus on developing joint cybersecurity go-to-market plans to accelerate the adoption of cybersecurity among Malaysian enterprises and public sector organizations, and to strengthen Malaysia's digital sovereignty through locally hosted infrastructure, sovereign AI capabilities, and local cybersecurity expertise.

The two parties also plan to build capabilities through knowledge exchange, skills development, and operational readiness programs.

Azhar Adnan, CEO of Time's Enterprise and Public Sector division, said the project will combine Time's digital infrastructure, secure connectivity, managed Security Operations Center (SOC) capabilities, and cyber intelligence with LGMS's expertise in cybersecurity consulting, governance, risk and compliance, security assessments, threat intelligence, and incident response.

In a statement, Azhar Adnan said that cybersecurity is no longer just about protecting systems, but about enabling organizations to innovate with confidence. As enterprises embrace AI, cloud, and digital transformation, trusted digital infrastructure becomes the foundation supporting resilience, governance, and business continuity.
