en.Wedoany.com Reported - Polish telecom operator Orange Polska has launched the 5G Super ODU 6 external modem, designed to provide stable, high-speed internet access in areas where laying fiber optic cables is difficult, such as mountainous regions, forested areas, and sparsely populated zones. The company claims that the device can already establish network connections in these areas and is currently the only operator in Poland selling this device.
The device supports peak speeds of up to 5.4 Gb/s and is equipped with a high-performance antenna with a gain of up to 18 dBi, capable of receiving 5G and LTE signals from extremely distant towers. Orange Polska states that this device is designed for users who require reliable internet even in harsh environments, making it particularly suitable for mountainous or sparsely populated areas with weak signal coverage.
The 5G Super ODU 6 can automatically align its antenna with the nearest tower providing the strongest signal, eliminating the need for manual adjustment by the user and maintaining a stable connection even when the signal is weak. Users can rely on the device for work, entertainment, or communication without worrying about connection interruptions or speed drops.
The manufacturer emphasizes that the modem's housing complies with the IP65 dust and water resistance standard, can withstand wind speeds of up to 100 km/h, and operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +55°C, making it adaptable to harsh weather conditions.
The installation process can be completed within half an hour, and users can remotely control the antenna, monitor connection parameters, and manage settings via an application.
