en.Wedoany.com Reported - New Holland has introduced two new forage and feed equipment models: the Speedrower 1 Series self-propelled windrower and the 2027 model year Roll-Belt 1 Series round baler. The upgrades for both products focus on enhancing productivity and equipment durability within tight harvest windows.
Alex Berwager, New Holland's North American product launch manager for forage and feed, stated that forage and feed producers face continuous pressure across all operational aspects, including maximizing crop and bale quality, and helping teams work more efficiently during tight harvest windows.
The core upgrades for the 2027 model year Roll-Belt 1 Series round baler focus on durability and ease of use. Key improvements include larger rollers and bearings in high-wear areas such as the tailgate, back-wrap roller, and driven rollers to extend equipment life. A new net wrap protection system uses electro-hydraulic belt tension control to prevent damage to the net wrap when the bale is ejected, which is particularly valuable when baling heavy corn stalks or straw. Simplified design reduces the need for re-baling under demanding conditions. On the technology front, the newly introduced Bale Command 8 color touchscreen display targets operators who do not require full ISOBUS functionality. New Holland also offers factory-preinstalled IntelliBale automation, which comes pre-configured from the factory, allowing customers to use automation features directly without dealer setup. Berwager stated that these updates aim to make daily baling easier, more consistent, and more efficient, helping operators work more confidently under demanding conditions through practical improvements such as net wrap protection, enhanced durability, in-cab controls, and factory-preinstalled automation. Additionally, New Holland has simplified its 561 model series with clearer naming: Hay Special for hay crops, Specialty Crop for drying heavy crops and corn stalks, Silage Special for silage applications, and Bale-Slice for producing sliced hay and silage bales. The 2027 model year Roll-Belt round baler is now available for pre-order.

The all-new Speedrower 1 Series is New Holland's next-generation windrower platform, combining higher horsepower with integrated precision technology. The series includes four models with power ranging from 161 hp to 308 hp, with the Speedrower 301 as the top-tier model. According to New Holland, this is the most powerful self-propelled windrower in the industry. The machine can achieve field speeds of up to 20 mph and transport speeds of 30 mph, 10% to 20% faster than competitors. The new 150-gallon fuel tank extends runtime by 43%, allowing the Speedrower 301 to operate continuously for 10 hours without refueling. The redesigned cooling system features a larger rear grille, increased surface area, and a hydraulically variable-speed reversing fan with three modes: automatic reverse for five seconds at 203°F, a customizable timer (clears the grille when PTO is activated), and a manual heavy-duty cleaning mode (20-second cleaning cycle). The series introduces a relative yield monitoring system, integrated with the free lifetime FieldOps connectivity. This system generates real-time yield maps during mowing, helping operators instantly adjust ground speed or manage cutting quality. Data is automatically stored for cross-season field performance comparisons, supporting future decisions on irrigation, nutrient management, and soil sampling. Jordan Milewski, New Holland's North American product marketing manager for self-propelled windrowers, stated that relative yield monitoring and FieldOps help eliminate guesswork in field management, providing a clearer understanding of performance per acre or even finer areas. Operator-friendly features include the AutoFloat header float system, which maintains consistent ground pressure with minimal manual adjustment, along with the Comfort Ride cab suspension and Terraglide rear axle suspension to reduce fatigue during long working hours. The updated exterior features a black frame, silver rims, and prominent blue model numbers. The Speedrower 1 Series is now available for order through New Holland dealers, with deliveries expected to begin in late 2026.
