en.Wedoany.com Reported - SLNG announced on social media on Tuesday that it has signed a terminal use agreement with Jiaxing Gas Group (Singapore) for storage tank and reloading services. SLNG did not provide further details on the agreement.

SLNG is the operator of Singapore's first operational LNG terminal and the upcoming Jurong Island Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) facility. The agreement was signed during a visit by Jiaxing Gas Group (Singapore) Chairman Sun Lian Qing and his delegation to SLNG's office. This followed a visit by the SLNG team to Jiaxing Gas's LNG terminal in China in May.
Jiaxing Gas commenced operations in 2022, and its jointly operated terminal with Hangzhou Gas, located in Zhejiang Province, has a capacity of 1 million tons per year. In 2023, Pavilion Energy, now a Shell subsidiary, delivered the first small-scale LNG cargo from the SLNG terminal to the Jiaxing LNG terminal, as part of a previously signed supply agreement with Zhejiang Hangjiaxin Clean Energy.
Jiaxing Gas Group (Singapore) stated in another social media post last week that signing the agreement with SLNG is "an important milestone in the continued development of its LNG platform in Singapore." In addition to signing the agreement, the two parties discussed future areas of cooperation, including sharing operational experience, mutual learning, and the continued development of safe, reliable, and flexible LNG infrastructure solutions. Jiaxing Gas Group (Singapore) expressed its expectation to continue cooperating with SLNG to contribute to Singapore's development as a key LNG hub in the region.
Two LNG Terminals
Singapore's first LNG terminal on Jurong Island commenced commercial operations in May 2013. The terminal currently operates two berths, three 180,000-cubic-meter storage tanks, and a fourth 260,000-cubic-meter tank, with a peak send-out capacity of approximately 11 million tons per year. Additionally, Korean shipbuilder Hanwha Ocean laid the keel in May for Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL)'s FSRU, which will serve Singapore's second LNG import terminal. SLNG will charter this 204,000-cubic-meter FSRU (hull number 2597) under an agreement signed with Japan's MOL in October 2024. The FSRU, with a regasification capacity of 5 million tons per year, is scheduled to dock at Jurong Port and connect to the gas grid in 2030.
