en.Wedoany.com Reported - Wärtsilä has signed a five-year lifecycle agreement with Ireland-based Pardus Energy to support the operation of the Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) Turquoise P. Under the agreement, Wärtsilä will provide dedicated contract management, maintenance planning, and spare parts supply for the vessel, aiming to assist Pardus Energy in improving maintenance readiness, enhancing cost predictability, and fully preparing for major planned overhauls during the contract period.

The vessel operates as a stationary FSRU at the Etki LNG terminal in Aliaga, Turkey, and is critical to ensuring the continuity of natural gas supply. Any unplanned downtime could have severe operational and commercial consequences. By adopting a structured long-term service model, Pardus Energy can ensure timely access to genuine Wärtsilä spare parts, improve equipment availability, and reduce uncertainties associated with major planned overhauls.
"Reliable operations and meticulous maintenance planning are essential for FSRU vessels. This agreement provides us with a clear long-term framework to manage key maintenance activities, ensure the use of genuine spare parts, and give us greater confidence in preparing for the planned 36K and 48K overhauls," said Osman Kolay, Head of LNGC/FSRU Operations at Pardus Energy.
Turquoise P entered service in 2019, and its onboard equipment was supplied by Wärtsilä. The agreement also helps ensure that the vessel's Wärtsilä equipment remains in optimal operating condition, thereby supporting more sustainable and efficient lifecycle management.
"This agreement is designed to give Pardus Energy greater certainty over the lifecycle of its critical FSRU asset. By integrating Wärtsilä's original expertise, maintenance planning, and spare parts support, we can help Pardus Energy improve reliability, reduce operational risks, and plan long-term operations with greater confidence," said Henrik Wilhelms, Director of Agreement Sales at Wärtsilä Marine.
