en.Wedoany.com Reported - Red Hill Minerals has initiated a 1,200-meter diamond drilling program at its recently expanded Anabama copper-gold project in South Australia, targeting a strong downhole conductor to test the extension of copper-gold-silver mineralization previously intersected at the project. The project is part of Red Hill's Curnamona earn-in joint venture with Spectre Metals.

In the two-hole drilling campaign, the first hole, planned to a depth of 700 meters, will test a location 150 meters southwest of two conductive plates identified by downhole electromagnetic surveys in the company's earlier hole 25ANDD001. Completed in December 2025, 25ANDD001 confirmed mineralization extending into bedrock below the final depth of approximately 130 meters in historical hole CRD102. Results from this hole include a 20-meter interval from 313.1 meters grading 0.6% copper, 0.2 g/t gold, and 3 g/t silver. This includes higher-grade sub-intervals: 3.2 meters from 313.6 meters grading 1% copper, 1 g/t gold, and 3.8 g/t silver; and 3.8 meters from 324.3 meters grading 1.2% copper, 0.3 g/t gold, and 8.1 g/t silver.

Red Hill Executive Chairman Joshua Pitt said the combined drilling and geophysical results strengthened the case for further exploration. He noted that downhole electromagnetic surveys and subsequent modeling have led the company to believe there may be significant undiscovered mineralization below the historical drilling area at Anabama. The high-grade copper and gold found in the first target hole, combined with the newly identified off-hole conductor with a dip similar to known mineralization, constitutes an exciting target and enhances the project's prospectivity.

The second 500-meter hole will be drilled 450 meters further southwest from the first hole, targeting the extension of an induced polarization anomaly along the strike of historical workings and drill holes. The program is expected to be completed by the end of August, with both holes planned to be cased for subsequent downhole electromagnetic surveys that will test nearby conductors potentially indicating additional mineralization. Red Hill has also expanded the Anabama project by adding the adjacent Cronje Dam tenement, extending its coverage of the prospective Anabama-Ridan shear zone to over 25 kilometers. Historical exploration at Cronje Dam identified anomalous bottom-of-hole copper results over approximately 4 kilometers of strike, but only limited deep drilling has been completed in the broader target area.
