Zodiac Gold Confirms Second 1.8km Gold Mineralized Zone at Lewis North, Liberia

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 2, Zodiac Gold announced the initial trenching results from the Lewis North target at the Todi Gold Project in Liberia. Two trenches spaced approximately 400 meters apart both returned near-surface gold mineralization, confirming a second east-west trending mineralized zone approximately 1.8 kilometers in length. This trend runs parallel to the Lewis South trend, where Phase 1 diamond drilling is currently underway.

Trench LWT001 returned a mineralized interval of 52 meters at 0.71 g/t gold, including 19 meters at 1.51 g/t, as well as higher-grade intervals of 3 meters at 3.33 g/t and 5 meters at 2.71 g/t; a separate interval in the same trench returned 25 meters at 0.43 g/t, including 2 meters at 0.97 g/t and 1 meter at 1.16 g/t, with the highest single 1-meter sample grading 6.59 g/t gold. Trench LWT002, located approximately 400 meters away, returned 28 meters at 0.48 g/t, including 2 meters at 2.64 g/t.

Previous trenching at Lewis South had returned 84 meters at 0.51 g/t gold, including 30 meters at 1.04 g/t. Zodiac Gold commenced its first diamond drilling program at the Lewis target on July 21, with Phase 1 planned for up to approximately 3,000 meters, prioritizing the testing of the 1.8-kilometer east-west soil gold anomaly at Lewis South; based on Phase 1 results, the drilling program may be expanded to up to 5,000 meters. Lewis North was still in the surface mapping, trenching, and target generation stage at that time.

With the latest Lewis North trenching results confirming a second mineralized trend, Zodiac Gold is mobilizing a third drill rig to the Todi Project, with operations expected to commence approximately two weeks after the announcement, intended to test targets including Lewis North and Feh Feh. Diamond drilling is currently underway at both Lewis South and Arthington. Assay results from trench LWT003 at Lewis North remain pending.

The Lewis North trenching forms part of the Company's 3,600-meter trenching program along the 16-kilometer Monterra Trend. As of August 25, the Company had completed 20 trenches between Ben Ben and Feh Feh; during the same period, the Feh Feh target returned 23 meters at 0.68 g/t gold, including 12 meters at 1.16 g/t, and identified new artisanal gold mining sites outside the existing Monterra soil geochemical anomaly.
