en.Wedoany.com Reported - REMC Limited, the Indian Railway Energy Company, issued a tender notice on July 13 to develop a 17 MW solar photovoltaic power plant with a 12.5 MW/50 MWh battery energy storage system on railway vacant land in Dahod, Gujarat. The project will select developers through a price-based competitive bidding process.

The project adopts a single-stage two-envelope procurement method, aiming to provide stable clean electricity supply for railway facilities. According to the tender schedule, bidders must submit queries by July 23, a pre-bid meeting is scheduled for July 28, and a coordinated site visit will be arranged on August 4.

The online bid submission deadline is August 18, offline documents must be submitted for evaluation by August 20, with technical bids opened later that day. Bidders are required to pay applicable document and processing fees, plus 18% Goods and Services Tax (GST). The winning bidder will sign a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Indian Railways, and the generated electricity will be used to meet railway traction and other power needs. This project helps the Indian railway system increase its clean energy usage ratio, reduce dependence on the traditional grid, while utilizing idle railway land for renewable energy development, achieving multifunctional use of land resources.
