(CNMC) and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region held talks in Beijing on July 16, focusing on deepening central-local industrial synergy, advancing Xinjiang assistance efforts, and supporting high-quality development in Xinjiang. Zhang Jinjun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of CNMC, and Tang Zhongping, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of Xinjiang SASAC, attended the talks.

Zhang Jinjun expressed gratitude to Xinjiang SASAC for its long-term support to CNMC's enterprises in Xinjiang. He noted that the Xinjiang assistance work is a key measure to implement the Party's governance strategy for Xinjiang in the new era. As a central enterprise, CNMC has always treated industrial assistance to Xinjiang as a political task. During the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, the group will continue to leverage Xinjiang's resource endowments, intensify the integration of nonferrous metal resources, accelerate the development of advantageous differentiated mineral types, and selectively engage in resource exploration in southern Xinjiang, aiming to drive Xinjiang's economic and social high-quality development through industrial growth.
Tang Zhongping thanked CNMC for its long-term presence and deep engagement in Xinjiang's industries. He stated that Xinjiang boasts abundant nonferrous metal resources with immense development potential and is currently advancing its strategy of industrial revitalization. Before the talks, Tang Zhongping and his delegation visited the CNMC exhibition hall to learn about the group's development history, industrial layout, technological innovation, and international operations. Officials from relevant departments and enterprises of Xinjiang SASAC, as well as representatives from CNMC's relevant departments and invested enterprises, attended the talks.
