en.Wedoany.com Reported - U.S. QTS plans to develop a data center campus in Hall County, Texas. The project will invest $10 billion to build up to 11 data center buildings on 465 acres near the town of Turkey, supported by a 1-gigawatt (GW) grid connection.

QTS Co-CEOs Tag Greason and David Robey stated that the company is excited to expand into the special communities of Turkey and Hall County, aiming to be a responsible neighbor by listening to and investing in local priorities, supporting the sustainable development of community families and businesses, and committing to being a lasting part of Hall County for decades to come.

Lancium and QTS will fund all necessary energy infrastructure upgrades for the campus, with Lancium expected to provide electricity through on-site solar and battery storage. QTS stated that these data centers will use closed-loop cooling systems to reduce water usage and will not rely on Turkey's municipal water supply.

Lancium Founder and CEO Michael McNamara stated that Lancium develops energy and civil infrastructure at its campuses to provide sustainable power, supporting grid stability and reliability. Through collaboration with QTS, Hall County, and the town of Turkey, this investment will be introduced to Hall County, benefit the grid, and bring long-term economic and social benefits to the community. McNamara expressed pride in partnering with QTS on this project.

QTS, acquired by Blackstone for $10 billion, operates data centers in the U.S. and Europe, including multiple sites in Texas. Lancium, initially a cryptocurrency mining company, now develops Clean Campuses for data centers and is building sites in Abilene, Childress, and Hall County.
