en.Wedoany.com Reported - VSL PowerHive, the battery and energy storage division of Vikram Solar, has expanded its VION product line with the launch of two LFP battery energy storage systems for residential and small commercial applications, with capacities of 10 kWh and 15 kWh.
These systems can provide backup power by charging from the grid or be paired with rooftop solar installations to store excess generation for later use, thereby reducing reliance on the grid.
The 10 kWh battery has a rated voltage of 51.2 V, a capacity of 206 Ah, and a nominal energy capacity of 10.58 kWh. The standard charge current is 80 A, the standard discharge current is 100 A, and peak charge and discharge currents can reach 120 A and 160 A, respectively, for a maximum duration of 5 minutes. The battery measures 396 mm × 250 mm × 590 mm and weighs 80 kg.
The 15 kWh battery has a rated voltage of 51.2 V, a capacity of 314 Ah, and a nominal energy capacity of 16.14 kWh. The standard charge current is 120 A, the standard discharge current is 150 A, and peak charge and discharge currents can reach 180 A and 240 A, respectively, for a maximum duration of 5 minutes. The battery measures 396 mm × 250 mm × 734 mm and weighs 114 kg.
Both systems are equipped with an intelligent battery management system that continuously monitors and optimizes performance to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency. According to the company, these systems are designed for higher load applications, are maintenance-free, and are manufactured for Indian conditions.
Each system comes with a comprehensive 60-month warranty.
Arun Mittal, CEO of VSL PowerHive, stated that the launch of the 10 kWh and 15 kWh VION energy storage systems is a significant step for the division in building a future-ready energy storage ecosystem for India's energy landscape. These systems utilize advanced LFP technology, combined with intelligent battery management and high-load performance, to provide reliable and sustainable power when needed.
