Hu Wangming, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Baowu Steel Group Co., Ltd., also attended the opening ceremony. Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. (Baosteel) and Baosight Software jointly set up an exhibition, showcasing cutting-edge achievements in AI empowering the steel and process industries.
Since its inaugural edition in 2018, this year's conference has collaborated with 12 national ministries and commissions, 8 national key laboratories, and over a dozen international organizations. Under the theme "Intelligent Partners, Co-creating the Future," the event was held across "three venues and four halls" in the Expo, Zhangjiang, and West Bund areas. Within the 100,000-square-meter exhibition space, over 1,100 enterprises brought more than 3,000 exhibits, with over 300 AI products making their global debut, highlighting core technological breakthroughs in domestic computing power, autonomous large models, and industrial intelligent agents.
Under the overall guidance of Baowu, Baosteel and Baosight Software jointly set up the exhibition, deeply integrating modern industry with cutting-edge technology to present the panoramic view of Baowu's AI 2.0 strategy. Baowu AI 2.0 focuses on AI+R&D, AI+Governance, AI+Manufacturing, and AI+Services as its main directions, with large models, generative AI, and intelligent agents as core supports, redefining the paradigm of steel production.
As of this year, Baosteel has cumulatively built and put into operation over 700 AI scenarios and more than 100 intelligent agents, and has established 5 benchmark AI production lines. Its four major bases have been recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as "Excellent-level Intelligent Factories." The predictive manufacturing intelligent factory for high-end grain-oriented silicon steel was selected for the first national batch of "Pilot-level Intelligent Factories" cultivation list. The world's first smart blast furnace was launched, and three achievements, including the converter "AI Furnace Master" and the cold rolling continuous annealing "AI Chief Operator," were awarded the title of Central Enterprise AI Strategic High-Value Scenarios. The full-factor dataset for the steel production process received the title of Central Enterprise High-Quality Dataset Outstanding Construction Achievement.
As the main entity implementing Baowu's AI strategy, Baosight Software has built a new industrial intelligence paradigm integrating "scenarios, models, data, computing power, and platforms." Relying on the innovative model of "general-purpose and specialized integration, business and technology integration, and digital and physical integration," it drives all hardware to be driven by AI, all software to be defined by AI, all data to be activated by AI, and all businesses to be reconstructed by AI.
In the autonomous and controllable exhibition area, Baosight Software's Tianxing PLC series, developed through 15 years of independent research, became a focal point. This system achieves full-stack autonomous controllability, from hardware design and manufacturing, real-time operating system, runtime, and compiler to the cloud-native integrated development environment. It won the 2025 CIIF Award at the China International Industry Fair and was included in the SASAC's "Recommended Catalogue of Central Enterprise Innovation Achievements."
The embodied intelligence exhibit featured the Turing heavy-duty wheeled dual-arm humanoid robot, with each arm capable of carrying 15 kg. Leveraging its self-developed industrial-grade 4D camera, it achieves a gripping accuracy of ±0.5 mm, specifically designed for heavy material handling and high-risk environments such as high temperatures and high dust levels. Baosight Software is building a full-stack embodied intelligence system covering "core components, the robot body, algorithms, and system integration."
In the "AI+Steel" exhibition area, the smart blast furnace optimizes furnace parameters in real-time, the converter "AI Furnace Master" achieves autonomous process decision-making, and intelligent scheduling increases the annual efficiency of a single unit by millions of yuan. The industrial big data platform connects the entire data chain, and the industry-specific large model integrates both mechanism and data-driven approaches, building a global optimization system with collaborative intelligent agents.
Baosight Software's industrial vision large model platform, "ZhiJian Workshop xVue," covers the full lifecycle from data governance and model development to intelligent applications and continuous operations. The prediction platform aPM and decision platform aPS enable model construction in seconds and efficient deployment, providing real-time optimal decisions for scenarios such as strip shape control, wheel performance prediction, and production scheduling. The AIC (Artificial Intelligent Control) integrated software focuses on incubating "AI Chief Operator" agents for various processes. After achieving high-level "autonomous driving" in multiple key processes of steel cold rolling, it has expanded into the chemical, mining, and non-ferrous metal industries.
In Luojing, Baoshan District, Shanghai, the largest industrial intelligent computing center in China, converted from an old factory building, has established a closed-loop ecosystem integrating computing power, data, and models. Baosight Software's independently developed Baoliandeng industrial large model was forged from this center.
From the "9672" project thirty years ago, which built an integrated production and sales management system, to the current "2526" project, China Baowu continues its journey on the path of intelligent transformation.
