en.Wedoany.com Reported - PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd has expanded its TriCipta AI initiative by signing a new joint development agreement with Tridiagonal.ai and IBM Malaysia to advance artificial intelligence applications in upstream operations.

This collaboration marks the third joint development agreement signed under PETRONAS Carigali's TriCipta AI initiative, which brings together engineering and AI technology providers to develop operational solutions for the upstream value chain.

Under the agreement, Tridiagonal.ai will provide engineering domain expertise, physics-informed AI models, and decision intelligence capabilities to support workflows such as surface equipment optimization, production performance, maintenance reliability, and asset integrity.

The project aims to integrate operational data with engineering context to improve decision-making for critical upstream assets.

Pravin Jain, CEO of Tridiagonal.ai, stated that the company is honored to participate in the third joint development agreement to advance the TriCipta AI initiative. He believes that for upstream operations, value will come from AI that can understand equipment behavior, operational constraints, reliability risks, integrity context, and production trade-offs.
