This represents a 61% increase compared to the 5.2 million tonnes exported in the previous season and exceeds the 10-year average of 7.4 million tonnes, making it one of the port's most outstanding grain export seasons on record.

Within the competitive landscape of French ports, HAROPA PORT handles over half of the country's total seaborne grain exports, with its market share remaining above 50%.

By category, milling wheat exports totaled 5.6 million tonnes, while barley exports reached 2.6 million tonnes. Thanks to excellent crop quality and competitive pricing, barley exports achieved the third-best result on record for Rouen. Additionally, oilseeds, protein crops, and malt together accounted for 600,000 tonnes.

These grains were shipped to 41 destination countries. Morocco remained the largest importer, purchasing 2.6 million tonnes of wheat, primarily due to drought-induced domestic production shortfalls. China imported 578,000 tonnes, and Côte d'Ivoire imported 520,000 tonnes. Saudi Arabia purchased 500,000 tonnes of barley.

By region, the Maghreb received 3.4 million tonnes, West Africa received 1.3 million tonnes, and European countries collectively received 1.5 million tonnes.

These figures reflect an overall recovery in French grain exports while consolidating Rouen's status as one of Europe's major agricultural product export hubs.
