en.Wedoany.com Reported - Auro Metals Inc. (AURO:TSXV; AURFF:OTCPK) has released assay results from three drill holes at the Santa Barbara South zone of the Santa Barbara gold-copper project in Zamora-Chinchipe Province, Ecuador, in which the company holds a 100% interest.
Drill hole DSB-59 intersected a 625.12-meter mineralized interval grading 0.64 g/t gold and 0.10% copper. The reported gold grade is approximately 23% higher than the inferred resource grade in the project's mineral resource estimate. Drill hole DSB-57 returned 59 meters from surface grading 0.67 g/t gold and 0.10% copper; additionally, the hole intersected a 37.5-meter mineralized interval at depth grading 0.50 g/t gold and 0.10% copper. Drill hole DSB-58 intersected a 130-meter mineralized interval grading 0.60 g/t gold and 0.09% copper. Results from both drill holes confirm that mineralization remains open along the up-dip direction toward the surface.
As part of the first phase of the 2026 drilling program, a total of 16 drill holes have been completed, with assay results received for six holes and results pending for the remaining 10. The report states that four drill rigs remain active on site. Auro Metals Inc. CEO Victor Feng stated in a press release that these are the second batch of drill hole assay results from the first phase drilling program at the Santa Barbara South zone, continuing to highlight the project's scale and consistency. Drill hole DSB-59 continuously encountered 625 meters of gold-copper mineralization from near-surface and ended in mineralization at depth. The drilling results show that all three holes intersected broad mineralized bodies with good consistency in gold and copper grades. Meanwhile, the discovery in drill hole DSB-59 also confirmed mineralization within the diorite porphyry intrusion, but due to the early termination of the hole, its full mineralized extent remains untested. These results indicate that mineralization remains open in both up-dip and down-dip directions.
According to available information, Auro Metals Inc. is an exploration company formerly known as Tincorp Metals Inc. The company previously partnered with Silvercorp to acquire Santa Barbara Metals Inc., which holds a 100% interest in the Santa Barbara gold-copper project and the Zamora copper-gold belt in southeastern Ecuador. Additionally, the company holds a 100% interest in the Porvenir project and plans to acquire full ownership of the SF project near Bolivia.
