en.Wedoany.com Reported - The government of the Chuvash Republic (Чувашская Республика) has approved an allocation of 60 million rubles to advance the comprehensive digital transformation project for the electric power energy complex, named "Digital Energy Region" (Цифровой энергорегион).

These funds will be primarily used for research and development work, as well as to procure modern equipment and specialized software for JSC "Chuvash State Electric Grids" (АО «Чувашские государственные электрические сети»). This company will serve as the main application platform for the R&D project.

The "Digital Energy Region" project aims to promote the application of artificial intelligence technologies in the digital transformation of power grids. It has been incorporated into the comprehensive plan for the socio-economic development of the Chuvash Republic for 2025-2030, as well as the national program "Industrial Development and Innovation Economy" («Развитие промышленности и инновационная экономика»).

The implementation of the project is expected to help reduce energy losses, improve power supply reliability, and free up grid capacity to connect new users.

Upon completion of the project, the Chuvash Republic will possess independently developed patents and software products, which are expected to be promoted in other regions of Russia.
