en.Wedoany.com Reported - Rosseti Novosibirsk is modernizing the power grid infrastructure in the city of Obi, with an investment of over 14 million rubles, aiming to bring the city's power grid to standard technical condition.

Previously, most of Obi's power transmission lines and substations were managed by local administrative authorities and were in urgent need of major renovation, which directly affected residents' living comfort. The grid company, in cooperation with the city government, developed a comprehensive plan for upgrading energy facilities. Currently, construction units are building new transformer substations to replace aging municipal facilities, with work already underway on several major streets in the city.
Once the new equipment is operational, it will provide a total additional capacity of 2,060 kVA to the Obi distribution system, enhancing system reliability, stabilizing residential voltage levels, and creating the necessary margin for connecting new users.
At the same time, the city continues to implement modern technical solutions to segment overhead transmission lines, dividing long-distance lines into shorter protection sections. The installation of automatic control devices and modern domestic vacuum circuit breakers will minimize the number of users affected by power outages in the event of localized technical faults.
