China's 12th C919 Domestic Large Aircraft Officially Joins China Southern Airlines Fleet

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 21, 2026, a domestically produced large aircraft C919 with registration number B-659G arrived at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, officially joining the fleet of China Southern Airlines. This is the 12th C919 received by China Southern Airlines and the first C919 to enter service during this year's summer travel season. With the addition of this new C919, the capacity of China Southern's C919 fleet during the peak summer travel period has been further supplemented.

Since the start of the summer travel season, China Southern's active C919 fleet has cumulatively operated over 800 flight segments, effectively meeting the travel demand during the peak summer period. According to China Southern Airlines, after completing the necessary preparations for fleet integration, this new C919 will be quickly deployed to support peak summer flight operations, with plans to operate routes such as Changsha to Beijing Daxing, Chengdu Tianfu, Xi'an, and Shenyang.

To date, the domestically produced C919 has cumulatively operated over 12,800 flights with China Southern Airlines, transporting more than 1.76 million passengers. China Southern's C919 has already operated multiple regular commercial routes, including Guangzhou to Beijing Daxing, Xi'an, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Nanjing, Wenzhou, Taiyuan, Hefei, as well as Changsha to Beijing Daxing and Xi'an. With the expansion of the fleet size and the densification of the route network, the commercial operation landscape of the domestically produced large aircraft continues to broaden.
