en.Wedoany.com Reported - TWMA has secured a three-year contract renewal with a major operator in Egypt to continue providing drilling waste management services for offshore activities in the Eastern Mediterranean.
The contract renewal extends an existing three-year agreement and marks the company's 20th anniversary of operations in Egypt. TWMA stated that its Egyptian operations have achieved nearly 16 years without a lost time incident (LTI).
TWMA's facilities in Cairo and Alexandria maintain a fully localized workforce. Its Alexandria waste treatment facility utilizes TWMA's proprietary RotoMill® technology, processing an average of 10,000 metric tons of drilling waste annually. In addition to onshore waste treatment, the company provides onshore and offshore pit and tank cleaning services, as well as hazardous and non-hazardous waste management for oil and gas operations.
Abdelrahman Amin, General Manager of TWMA Egypt, stated that securing the contract renewal while celebrating the company's 20th anniversary of operations in Egypt reflects TWMA's long-term partnership with local operators. Over the past two decades, the company has continuously invested in local talent development and domestic capacity expansion, with operators recognizing the environmental and efficiency advantages of TWMA's solutions.
Halle Aslaksen, CEO of TWMA, noted that with the continued increase in offshore activities in the Eastern Mediterranean, Egypt remains a key market for the company's regional growth strategy. Egypt has been a vital pillar of TWMA's international operations and remains central to its ambitions in the Middle East and North Africa. As offshore activities in the Eastern Mediterranean grow, the company is strengthening and expanding its presence in both onshore and offshore services in the region.
The contract renewal supports TWMA's broader expansion plans in the Middle East and North Africa, including the recent opening of an onshore treatment facility in the UAE, as well as ongoing investments in drilling waste management and environmental services in the region.
