These sensors use non-contact measurement technology and can penetrate plastic tank walls, designed for space-constrained applications such as mobile construction machinery and heating systems.
The new series includes two versions: ILT-C01 and ILT-C05. Both utilize 60 MHz FMCW radar technology (angle ±6°), with a measurement range from 100 mm to 5000 mm from the sealing surface, an uncertainty of ±5 mm (depending on the fluid), and a non-repeatability of less than 2 mm. The main difference lies in the fluid temperature range: the ILT-C05 supports -40 to +150 °C, while the ILT-C01 supports +100 °C. This precision enables the sensors to measure high-viscosity, solid, or particle-containing materials, making them suitable for applications such as wastewater treatment plants, raw material and fuel containers.
The sensors are equipped with a PEEK lens (FKM seal) and a stainless steel 1.4404 housing, available in two sizes (diameter × length): 29.8 x 62.5 mm or 85 x 35.9 mm. Output signals include 4-20 mA, 0-5 V DC, and switching outputs, which can be used for overflow prevention or dry-run protection. Wika states that the technology is maintenance-free, reducing operational costs.
