en.Wedoany.com Reported - Kalmar has officially inaugurated a fully automated test centre in Ljungby, Sweden, located adjacent to the company's Innovation Centre, conducting whole-machine durability, driving and load testing for electric and diesel material handling equipment. The test centre is designed for round-the-clock unmanned operation and can perform 24-hour continuous automated accelerated durability testing. Approximately 300 customers, dealers, suppliers, industrial partners and employees attended the inauguration ceremony.

The new test centre enables full lifecycle testing of Kalmar electric and diesel models, with equipment operating continuously in the test area through autonomous driving while simulating different duty cycles and load conditions. The test platform can perform load testing of up to 45 tonnes, covering vehicle driving simulation, structural loading and whole-machine durability testing.

The test system can simulate equipment operating conditions ranging from severe cold to high temperatures, covering validation of vehicle structures, drivetrains, electrical and control systems under different climatic conditions. Kalmar extends its testing scope across its material handling equipment product range, including electric and diesel-powered models, and continuously accumulates whole-machine lifecycle data through unmanned operation.

The Ljungby test centre is adjacent to the existing Innovation Centre, allowing R&D equipment to move from design and prototype development directly into automated durability testing in the same area. Kalmar officially positions the facility as a dedicated automated test centre for material handling equipment, which currently has 24/7 unmanned testing and 45-tonne load verification capabilities.
