en.Wedoany.com Reported - Kazakhstan's SCAT Airlines will introduce a converted Boeing 767-300ER aircraft for cargo operations, having reached an agreement with Boeing on the conversion.

Boeing disclosed the agreement at the Farnborough Airshow. The Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) deal will enable SCAT to capitalize on demand for e-commerce and general cargo transportation between Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

SCAT President Vladimir Denisov stated that launching cargo operations opens a new chapter for SCAT and Kazakhstan's aviation industry, directly supporting the Kazakh President's goal of positioning the country as a leading Eurasian aviation hub.

Boeing noted that the Kazakh government prioritizes rapid growth in the air cargo sector. SCAT will enter the freighter market with the 767-300BCF, becoming the first operator of this model in Kazakhstan.

Boeing has not yet confirmed the specific airframe to be converted but stated that the -300BCF conversion can carry a payload of 57 tonnes with a range of up to 3,345 nautical miles (6,190 kilometers).
