en.Wedoany.com Reported - Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) has signed a memorandum of understanding with CEER, Saudi Arabia's first electric vehicle brand and original technology equipment manufacturer, to jointly explore cooperation opportunities in electric vehicle materials and manufacturing.

The agreement will explore the possibility of applying SABIC's advanced materials and innovative solutions in the design, development, and manufacturing of CEER electric vehicles, while assessing mutually beneficial business opportunities and defining potential cooperation terms.
The signing ceremony was held at SABIC's headquarters in Riyadh, attended by Dr. Faisal M Alfaqeer, CEO and Executive Board Member of SABIC, and James DeLuca, CEO of CEER.
The memorandum provides a framework to drive product and solution development and innovation by evaluating ways to adopt SABIC's advanced materials in CEER vehicle applications. The two companies will also assess joint development of materials and processing solutions that meet industry requirements. The agreement covers knowledge sharing in sustainability and technology to support CEER's product development goals, and explores strategic procurement opportunities, aiming to build a local supply chain with global standards for Saudi Arabia's emerging electric vehicle sector.
Dr. Faisal M Alfaqeer stated that the agreement is a strategic collaboration that will leverage SABIC's global expertise in advanced material solutions for the electric vehicle industry. He noted that through this partnership, they aim to accelerate innovation, enhance local content, and build an integrated national supply chain that strengthens global competitiveness. This collaboration also reflects the shared commitment to contributing to Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Industrial Strategy, empowering national talent, and solidifying Saudi Arabia's position as a regional hub for future industries and technology.
James DeLuca said that this cooperation marks a significant step in CEER's efforts to design, engineer, and manufacture electric vehicles in Saudi Arabia. He stated that to develop next-generation electric vehicles with leading safety and performance capabilities, CEER is partnering with globally renowned companies that share a commitment to innovation. By integrating SABIC's materials and technical expertise into vehicles, CEER is building a robust and reliable local supply chain while enhancing its key role in the country's transition toward sustainable advanced mobility and a technology hub.
