The MoU was signed at the Toray Villa during the Farnborough International Airshow, reflecting a shared commitment to long-term collaboration, engineering excellence, and strengthening the UK's advanced aerospace manufacturing ecosystem.
Under the agreement, Toray Advanced Composites will collaborate with Sora Aviation to integrate advanced carbon fiber composites into the S-1 airframe and rotor blades. These materials will be applied to both primary and secondary structures, maximizing strength, durability, and fatigue resistance while minimizing weight, thereby contributing to improved aircraft performance, increased energy efficiency, and enhanced long-term operational reliability.
