In the same period of 2025, China's exports of similar products to Russia amounted to 187,300 tons, with a total value of $274.3 million.
Looking at the monthly trend, in June 2026, China's exports of steel fasteners to Russia rebounded to 35,700 tons, valued at $50.7 million, up 19.9% and 12.0% month-on-month from May (29,800 tons, $45.3 million); and up 25.8% and 15.5% year-on-year from June 2025 (28,400 tons, $43.9 million).
In terms of export prices, the average export unit price in the first half of 2026 was $1,473 per ton, essentially flat compared to $1,465 per ton in the same period last year. The average unit price in June was $1,420 per ton, down 6.6% month-on-month and 8.2% year-on-year.
Steel fasteners are key connectors in construction, machinery manufacturing, the automotive industry, and infrastructure. Their export data serves as an important reference indicator for observing the export competitiveness of China's manufacturing sector and the prosperity of downstream industries. In the first half of 2026, the year-on-year decline in China's exports of steel fasteners to Russia was influenced by multiple factors, including changes in the global trade environment, fluctuations in Russian domestic demand, and exchange rate factors. However, the significant month-on-month and year-on-year rebound in export volumes in June indicates a certain degree of recovery in exports to Russia. Going forward, key variables affecting China's exports of fasteners to Russia will include the trajectory of the ruble exchange rate and demand from Russia's domestic construction and infrastructure investment sectors.
