The order has been booked in Kalmar's 2026 second-quarter order intake, with delivery scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.
To maximize equipment uptime and reliability, the order includes a 7-year Kalmar Complete Care service contract, guaranteeing long-term technical support and maintenance services tailored to the customer's operational needs. The collaboration also includes a 7-year MyKalmar INSIGHT subscription. This comprehensive service arrangement ensures high equipment availability and uninterrupted terminal operations.
The new fully electric Kalmar reachstacker will complement the existing fleet of Kalmar reachstackers and empty container handlers at the Contargo Group's Neuss terminal, handling general cargo operations. The new equipment will support further development and growth at the site, helping to ensure safe and efficient terminal operations.
The Contargo Group is clearly committed to electrification, having installed eight charging points and an energy management system at the Neuss terminal. The terminal not only sources its required energy from electricity suppliers but also recovers energy through cranes and photovoltaic systems. A battery storage system ensures that peak loads do not occur, avoiding increased operational costs, and surplus energy can be stored for use during periods of high electricity demand.
