en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 22, the first 500,000-ton wind-solar hydrogen integrated biomass green alcohol-oil demonstration project in China, invested and constructed by China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CEEC) Zhongdian Engineering, achieved a key milestone—the first pile was successfully driven for its Phase I 100,000-ton green methanol project at the Shenyang Bio-Chemical Industrial Park in Kangping County, Shenyang, marking the official start of the main construction phase.

The Shenyang green methanol project plans to build a 500,000-ton annual green fuel demonstration base, supported by a 2 GW centralized wind power facility, consuming approximately 3 million tons of biomass annually, and ultimately producing various green fuel products such as green methanol, green aviation fuel, and green ammonia. The project will be developed in three phases: Phase I will achieve an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons of green methanol; Phase II will achieve an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons of green aviation fuel; Phase III will achieve an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons of green ammonia, fully reaching the overall production target of 500,000 tons of green fuel. The supporting wind power project will provide stable and clean green electricity throughout the production process, ensuring a full-chain low-carbon closed loop.
The current phase of the project has a construction scale of 100,000 tons of green methanol per year, using green hydrogen produced from wind and solar power generation and biomass synthesis gas generated from local biomass gasification as raw materials, producing green methanol products through processes such as methanol synthesis and distillation.

In the next step, Zhongdian Engineering will continue to leverage its advantages in planning consulting, engineering design, technology research and development, and system integration, focusing on the needs of green and low-carbon energy transition and the "dual carbon" goals, further deepening research on biomass gasification technology optimization and engineering application, accelerating the transformation of technological innovation achievements into practical productivity, and contributing to the construction of a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient new energy system.
