Australia's Loughlin acquires 22-tonne Franna AT22-2

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Australian rental company Loughlin Crane Hire has taken delivery of a 22-tonne Franna AT22-2 articulated pick-and-carry crane, which has already completed its first lifting job in Toowoomba.

Based in Toowoomba in southern Queensland, Loughlin Crane Hire now operates a fleet of 18 cranes, ranging from 15-tonne Franna models to 110-tonne crawler cranes, along with a heavy haulage fleet.

The AT22-2 features a 17.9-metre four-section boom, achieving its maximum rated load at a working radius of up to 1.4 metres or a lift height of 6 metres. With the addition of a 2.5-metre extension jib, the maximum tip height extends to 20.5 metres, with a lifting capacity of just over 3 tonnes at that point. The main boom reaches a maximum forward reach of 15.8 metres with a rated load of 1.7 tonnes, extending to 18.8 metres with the jib installed. The work platform attachment provides a working height of 20.2 metres and a maximum horizontal reach of 18.5 metres.

The crane has a total weight of 20 tonnes in fully counterweighted configuration, with a rear axle load of 12 tonnes. The power system is driven by a Mercedes diesel engine mated to an Allison 6-speed transmission, achieving a maximum travel speed of 80 km/h (50 mph).

Franna stated that Loughlin's newly acquired AT22-2 lifted a milling machine during its first job, showcasing the capability, versatility, and efficiency of Franna cranes. Franna also noted that the partnership between the two companies is built on performance, reliability, and trust, and wished Loughlin smooth operations on its future lifting projects.
